Can anyone recommend a good smallmouth fishing resort up in Maine ? We live in NJ and we are looking for a spot with good bassin and good accomidations as well...

:)  I like that.  And, almost any body of water with a campground nearby will work.

Google Lakeside Motel and Cabins on Cobbosseecontee Lake (apparently I'm not allowed to post the link).  Great smallmouth and largemouth fishing, reasonable prices, and fairly easy to get to.

Last year I caught over a dozen largemouth bass out of Cobbosseecontee Lake that were over 5 pounds only caught 1 smallmouth that was around 4 pounds. Also caught a 3 pound brown trout. But there's parts of the Androscoggin river that are real good for smallmouths.

Whisperwood Lodge in Belgrade, ME. is a decent one.  Smallie fishing in Maine is always good in the Belgrade, as you many, many lakes to choose from.

When you get up there you can always drive around an check out other lakes and lodges
