Hi All,

On occasion we just take a ride "out the creek" with the kids to catch fish sticks(small bass), rock bass, and blue gills. I have fished the creek for 35 years, and have caught a few 12-14 inch keepers from time to time ( although i NEVER keep bass). If im hungry, we will grab a bunch a gills, sunfish, and crappie.

So yesterday, im walking down a sandbar, look down, and there lays a BRAND NEW bag of 3 inch watermelon Senko's. Mind you, we are 20 miles from the nearest town, no one in sight, or I would have returned the Senko's if possible. So I go digging for the smallest worm hook I could find, and come up with a 2/0 which would have to do. Throw it into a 3 foot deep hole, and WHAM...Fish on!! 21 inches, 12 inch girth (kinda skinny), but by far the biggest I have caught in the creek. Took pics, let her go. Very unexpected, but even more fun!!

Outstanding job! Now you just gotta know that there are more in there than just one, right! Go git 'em!  

Thank you Crestliner. I sure will be there again. It was just a spur of the moment choice to hit the creek, as we have been fishing the strip pits for the Hawgs, but this was a VERY pleasant surprise. Also the first time I have used such a small Senko ( Color 9B-10-042J Watermelon No Flake), but I may just have to purchase a few bags Just wish I had a scale with me. I would guess it was close to 5, but ill call it a 4 and a half:)

I was thinking the same thing. I thought my buddy dropped them as he was walking up the creek, so I just picked them up for him. When I went to give them back, he said they were not his, so I took off my rebel craw, and went with the little Senko. Needless to say, when big Mama hit, my buddy asked to borrow a Senko hahaha.

I live in Marshall County, and it was caught in the upper end of Fish Creek. Holes are few and far between when you get up in as far as we were. Could darn near jump across the creek. First time I have fished the creek in a few years, but I will go back soon

If I were a religious person, I'd say those Senko's were manna from heaven.  You weren't able to part the creek too, were you?  Outstanding bass!  I'm envious!

As for giving up my spot, Marshall County is a big place, I aint that easy Just kiddin, if someone else can enjoy that spot it, then by all means do so.

Great fish.

Fish Creek holds some nice fish. From, LM 2 spots, n smallies. Early this year the river was ruff n we went up in there and limited out on smallies and  Lm and took 2nd with the biggest weighing in at 3.14 with a few others in the 2.9 range. Nice fish, keep it up!
