Zoom Tiny Brush Hogs

Featured Replies

Planning to use tiny brush hogs as a dropshot bait. Has anyone

dropshotted with them before ? The baits have a thin body. What

size hooks did you use ?

Thanks for all replies.

Nope, but you can drop shot any bait you want.

Give it a try and let us know how it performs.

Should work fine.  :o

All brush hogs are good!

Also try the Zoom Mini lizards they are great on a drop shot or a jig head!

You can drop shot with anything.  Long before the age of plastics we rigged live minnows or nightcrawlers, this method was known as a "chicken rig", and still called that today for saltwater use with cut bait.  Before you tie up your sinker, take a separate leader line, attach a hook then tie a swivel on the loose end.  Take the eye of the swivel and put it thru the leader then attach your sinker, you now have a " trolley rig", great with live bait.  Dropshotting is merely a new name for these age old techniques.

3/0 EWG Gammy hooks or as a jig trailer for me. Never used them for  drop shot though.

A 3/0 hook on a TINY brush hog? :-?  Not trying to be a critic but that seems a little much.

Well i am talking about the 4" hogs. Is there a smaller one out there? Is that what he is referring to?

Yeah they come in 3 sizes now. I got a pack but haven,t used them yet but it does look like a great d-shot bait. If I did T-rig it would prob use a size 1 hook. It's pretty small.
