You can't really compare the bbz-1 with the lucky crafts due to the size and weight.

He asked about lucky craft real bait anyway!

sorry bout that then i just know i have a friend that went down to florida last week and won a tourny with a 6 lb kicker on his first few casts on the bait, its a big fish lure and i know it works i've found them as cheap as $36 their slow sink bait will actually suspend on the hooks over the bed, if your looking for a big fish bait this works.

The only thing in common both baits have is the Real California name, they are completely different animals; the original is like a big jointed minnow with the same kind of movement, the Premium is a "S" pattern swimming bait. Both baits are only available in floating version, T-rig mentioned a suspending model, such models in the domestic market are not available ( only available in the JDM ), also, the color palette is different in the Premium, the colors available for the japanese version ( Amago ) are not found in the domestic version and viceversa.

Which one ? well I 've got both and the Original is more to my liking, I feel more "in touch" with the bait than with the Premium ( I can 't feel the swimming action of the Premium well ) the Original feels like a crankbait.
