Load up on worm hooks bullet weights, fishing line, and sunscreen. I must have about 30 2/0, 4/0, 5/0 hooks to use. I love it, running out of someting while fishing ticks me off to no end! Or, if that does not interest you, how about a nice pair of sunglasses?

Check and Check, I too hate to run out of stuff so I'm always loaded down with hooks, weights, and line. And just got a new pair of cocoons last week.

check out the field and stream tec-spec rod series, i heard they are pretty good. and they are with in your price range, i have a similar field and stream rod and i like it alot.
