New To The Forum With A ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

My son and I love to bass fish in NH and I'm glad I found this forum. We are in a canoe but do alright. We usually don't start fishing until the end of May but we are ready to start now. We fish mostly artificials during the season with a preference for topwater as the sun is going down. But for early season how do you think drifting a shiner under a bobber would work for the local ponds or how about the Merrimack River since there is no ice. We would have to fish from shore on the river.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard Thibs1. You guys are still iced out up there? You gotta be getting close to some soft water?

I'm sure shiners will work fine, but if you want to fish artificials you can do that as well. Check out the fishing articles tab above, they're very helpful and ask any questions you have.

Welcome. I would try some shakey heads and jigs on the river. They work pretty well for me.
