Today me and a buddy fished a local tournament, this past week the weather was in the mid 80s until yesterday when a big cold front hit and the high today only reached the mid 50s, the fishing was tough, and there was only 8 boats to show up. At about 9:20 I accidently kicked my St.Croix/Pro Qual overboard and spent the next 30 min trying to snag it with no luck, we had no fish in the boat at this point either. So I finally decided to say forget it and keep fishing, and at about 10:45 we finally caught our first keeper. At the end of the day we had 4 fish that weighed 6 lbs 6 ounces which was good enough for 2nd place, and a 105 dollar check, and even though my partner did not catch a fish today we still split the money and i got 55 and he got 50, but it still doesnt makeup for the lost setup :(
