Well the tournament is coming up this weekend. Is anyone catching any fish? Water Conditions?

Hey Missouri guys I could use a little help with this lake. I'm heading here in the middle of March to fish the FLW Central division Collegiate Event. I have never been on this lake and due to budget our team will not get to pre fish. So I will have to rely on my online sources of information and my knowledge about where fish are located during the prespawn stages to put myself on fish. Any tips or information that you all would think help me find the fish that time of year? PM me if needed. Thanks!

I'd say mark rose. That guy knows deep water fishing better than anyone in the country right now. Ledge fishing that is. My second choice would be David Dudley I just like the guys fishing style and he knows how to win.

As Hooligan has stated I also have had problems out of my Gen 2 STX's. Have had to replace 5 or more AR bearings. They have been going out on the hookset? Not sure why? Anywho,,,,,, I'm about to order 3 Gen 3 STX's!!!! ahhaha

What do you all use to lube your Anti Reverse bearings on a revo STX ? Oil or Grease?

I know What I am describing sounds as if I am actually disengaging the spool when I set the hook but I'm not its not a regular click in as if I am engaging the reel its a weird bad sounding click but after it happens the reel if fine. I took the reel apart and didnt see anything ab normal, Am I setting the hook wrong or possibly too hard? Should I have pressure on the spool when I set the hook that way all the driving force behind my hookset isnt directly on the reel?

I've a;ready done that with one reel, and I got them back fixed but it happened again. I've been told i set the hook too hard but that shouldnt have anything to do with it right? I would think the drag would slip before the reel breaks in that situation am I correct?

Hey guys so I've had some problems with some revos in the past doin this same thing so I'm hoping some of you guys can help me out and let me know what the problem is.... What is happening is when i set the hook whether or not I miss the fish or hook the fish my reel jams up, when I say jams up I mean in order to reel the fish or bait back in I have to apply pressure to the handle and when i do it makes a clicking sound and then the reel is fine from there. Idk its weird but like I said its happened to a couple revos of mine. Any ideas whats going on?

What color colorado blade do you all seem to like better when the water is muddy? A gold or a silver one?

We got a few of them in at Dicks the other day. Personally I don't like the feel of them compared to even the Veritas. I think they are a little bit lighter than the veritas but it just does not feel the same in my hand.

What lb do you all recommend for two pitching set-ups between the 15 and 20 lbs?

I kind of want to try Tatsu. Is it worth the price? Up until now all I've used is Berkley Big Game and I have nothing but good things to say about this line. Yeah it has quite a bit of memory but nothing KVD L and L wouldnt fix. Not to mention its incredibly strong. I know I want to try flouro this year and I'm kind of stuck on whether to try red label, invizX, or Tatsu.

I've always used the KVD L and L but I've heard people saying that an acts as a degreaser and to not spray any reel parts with it. So my question is this true? And also is it best to remove the spool to spray the line or would it be okay to spray the line with the spool still on the reel? Thanks.

I'm gonna second that one. Great rod for price!! If your looking for an all around rod go with the Medium and not the medium heavy rod. The medium heavy rod is more like a heavy rod. JMO

Thats what I was thinking. I would be targeting main and secondary points with traps, jerkbaits, and a jig.
