I wouldn't recommend braid for shallow crankbaits, I'd stick with Mono, or strictly flouro for that application. JMO

Any of you all own any of the premier crankin rods? How are they? Thinking of getting a 6'6" Med for shallow square bills, and an occasional rattletrap.

For the guys that own or have had experience with this reel, what do you think of it? I'm getting another spinning setup and will probably pair it up with a 6'6" Med Abu Veritas.

I was just in Bass Pro the other day and held this rod in my hand. It felt good I was just seeing if any of you all had fished it or not. The rod it self has a pretty soft tip, almost felt as if it had a moderate tip, but the tip is fast. So I figured it would be a pretty good jerkbait and popper rod.

Ive got a few questions about a st croix premier. The first one is would be the 6'6" ML, would this rod be good for throwing jerbaits, poppers, and an occasional spook? Also the next question is about the 6'6" M crankbait rod. Any of you all have the Premier crankbait rods? How do you like them?

How many of you all use em? When do you do best with them? Pork trailer or no?

Do ay of you all use the culling systems with the clips that you just clip on the upper lip of the fish? How well do these work compared to the ones that you actually poke through? Do they stay on pretty well?

When do they usually release the BFL schedules?

I currently own two pitching set-ups, they both are Revo SX high speeds paired with 7' MH Veritas, and I have 15 pound Berkley Big game on them and thinking about switching it up next year. What do you all use ?

The only problem I have with the mojo is the fact that its a split grip rod and I dont like split grips for any type of casting techniques. I just use them for pitching.

Whats a good all around topwater rod? For buzzbaits, spooks, and poppers, I've been looking at a St.Croix Triumph ? What do you all think ?

I did not grease it. But anyways I sent both reels to DVT to be cleaned and worked on so hopefully he can solve the problem.

What do you mean by this ? The problem is not occuring when im reeling its happening when i set the hook. Its like im setting it too hard or something which is stupid because thats what your supposed to do when flipping and pitching.

Alright I'm starting to really get fed up with abu garcia...... First off I had two STXs that had been used for about two years and when I set the hook im pretty sure the anti reverses went out because i could reel them backwards. So I got rid of them and bought two BRAND NEW Revo Sxs off of someone on another forum. I got the reels and they were just as described.. BRAND NEW IN BOX. I havent had these reels but 2 weeks and when i set the hook with one on sunday the same thing happened to it as it happened to the STXs. The reel became hard to reel.( Sticky ) and at times you can reel it backwards and other times you cant. Why does this keep happening to me ? Is it me ?

The only thing that has been off of them is the side plate and the spools , Im the second owner so im not sure if the one before me had them apart, i dont believe he did.

I have two Revo STXs and they are both doing the same thing, I can reel them backwards and forward ? Has the anti-reverse went out in them both or whats wrong ?

I got some flourescent line for night fishing and spooled it on ne on my reels, well now that my night fishing trip is over i still have the line on the reel. my question is, is flourescent line good to use in the daylight too ?

how do you figure its cutting out 3 hours ? haha? my boat will run almost 50 MPH and its 46 miles there and back. that would be less than an hour of fishing time

Not really looking to save gas money, i just have a tournament and the run i wanna make is 46 miles there and back and my boat only has a 15 gallon tank.

I've got a 93 Pro Craft 15.5 ft boat with a 93 Mercury 90 HP 2 stroke on it, can anybody roughly estimate what MPG this thing will get at full throttle ?
