I was thinking about getting one of these to catch some hawgs, but am a little weary about spendin' $20 on one lure. anyone used 'em? I am going to get the bluegill one. How much do they weigh? Could I use it on a 6'6" MH baitcaster with braid? Thanks

I have one of the heavy sink models, it has a very realistic swimming motion. I've thrown it a couple of times for a total of app. 1 hour on the water, still waiting to catch my first fish on it but it's likely I just haven't used it at the right place & time. I still remain confident it will be a productive bait based on how it looks in the water.

my advice is to go with the SPRO BBZ-1 SHAD .a little bigger profile and great swimming action . but if u want a good blue gill imitator , get a JACKALL GIRON , about the same price and let me tell you , THEY WORK !!!!  

I have 2 of them.  You'll have no problem with a 6'6" rod.  These baits really aren't that big so nothing special is needed.  These baits do have some incredible action too!

Great looking baits, have a 4" and a 7" monster, both in bluegill.  My only complaint is the finish isn't very durable.  The jackall giron looks very good as well.  Stay away from the reaction strike revolution shad and gills, I have one of each and they swim on their sides any faster than a crawl.

the girons are awesome i love mine,i also love my sebile magic swimmers.the spro's have great detail even a small thread on the topfin to resemble threadfins.also killer bait for me is prologic savagear swimabits...AWESOME 8-)
