So i just got my quantum pt energy 7:0:1 baitcast reel! This is the fastest gear ratio i have ever had and i was wondering what do yall like use your burner reels for??

I have thought about top water and jerk baits? What else?

Plastics.

Technically, you can use it for anything. It's always easier to slow down your retrieve then to speed it up. I'm sure that others will give you more specific uses for it though!

I have a high speed exceler and use it for plastics mostly

i love mine for softplastics and for pitching a jig..youcan pick up slack quick andslam that hook home.. but like it was said above..you can use them for just about anything... except for probably a big crankbait..you'll wear your arms out trying to chunk and wind that thing all day

Spinnerbaits, jigs, plastics, topwater toad/frogs, buzz baits. I would recommend them anytime you need to pick up a lot of line in a hurry. The only thing I would not recommend them for would be lipped diving crankbaits.
