Well I Am Back And An Update

Featured Replies

Those of you that remember me.. just an update.. I am back from Iraq and doing well.. .currently on my block leave and slowly trying to get back into the real world... one thing I will not miss over there is the slow internet... with todays high speed websites I couldn't hardly surf the net! I am even going to Okeechobee the beginning of June for a guided full day trip.. I am VERY excited about that!

anyways.. I will try and be a more active participant and I am sorry for not keeping in touch better but those of you that are military or prior military know that being a First Sergeant is very time consuming let alone a deployed First Sergeant...

Welcome back and thanks for your service. I wish you all the best getting back to the "real world" I work with a Marine who spent 18 months in Iraq at the begining of this ordeal and experienced many a firefight. Talking about it seems to be his best therapy. I'm not sure of your situation but you have some ears to listen to you here on BR. Tight Lines!!!

Good to have you back safe and sound.

Thank you for your service :usa-flag-89:

Thanks everyone.. .this one (this was my 4th major deployment) wasn't as successful as I would have liked... one of my Soldiers was killed by an IED with less than 30 days left in country, literally broke my heart... just goes to prove that the folks in Iraq haven't gotten the memo that this is "operation new dawn" not "operation Iraqi freedom" none the less I am glad to be home with my family and around those that love me... I have spruced up my gear and dusted off the poles... for some reason most of the ponds here on Stewart are closed... but I plan on getting off post with some of my Soldiers in the very near future...
