Paris is one town we're looking into as far as retiring to. Is bass fishing possible year round, or is there a limited season? Is it too cold to fish in the winter? Are there many lakes to bass fish in the area? Thanks.

No set season, it is great all year so is everything else up and down the TN River.

Thanks guys. Paris is a highly recommended retirement town, but I don't know anything about the towns in the east. What eastern towns are you referring to? I'm also looking for as little snow as possible.

maryville tn the town i live in is a good retirement town. low taxes and great location

nestled right up along the base of the great smokey mountains

atlanta ga is 200 miles away, nashville tn is 200 miles away. knoxville is a "big small town" less than 500,000 in population but with many of the same offerings as a big city.

lots and lots of lakes, trout streams, and rivers are here in easy accessible distances.

bass pro shops is right up the road in sevierville as is gatlinburg and pigeon forge tn home to the great smokey mountains national park. the area sees all 4 seasons and we honestly rarely see a lot of snow fall. you can see it up in the mountains but it rarely ever really comes down into the valley. we have beautiful fall foliage and great fishing

Paris area, you got Ky lake and Barkley lake. Not too far down the road is Pickwick, wilson, and guntersville(think I forgot one). All nice, to fantastic lakes.
