Hey everyone. Brian here. Going to start back fishing again, been out of the loop for some time. fished my whole childhood until i left for the Army at 18. . . That was 12 years ago. Mainly i have fished the canals around my house with friends here and there. Just got back from a trip to NW Idaho and fished a few mountain lakes on my father in laws boat. That woke me up and now looking to buy a 17ft bass boat for some small lakes around here. Also it would be fun to take the wife and now 9 month old daughter out in and tool around and check out the scenery.

OK guys, thats my spew..

Welcome to the forum. There's a bunch of regular contributors from our area. Hint, Lox refuge is pretty good fishing (though not at the moment due to construction and super low water). Good luck

trying to buy a house right now so hopefully in a few months i will be able to get a boat. in the mean time, i am going to figure out what to use in the canal behind my house. currently, i use a small hook and some bread and the tiny bait fish love it. some bluegill's here and there. i'd like to catch something of more size and put up more of a fight... not too sure what else is in there though. im thinking it is maybe 3-6ft deep. a lot of lily pads and nervous to loose tackle 3ft from my feet when something is snagged ya know? hence the small hooks and bread. kinda lame but i have no other choice.
