these florida canals can hold some pretty big bass, I've seen them 8 pounds in canals you can spit across!

My man I would wait to get a boat in the winter months. It's the off season and if you can hold out just a little longer I can almost guarantee you will find a good deal.

I waited 'til this past winter and got a 14ft jon boat with a 32lbs TM, a 2.7hp motor, has 2 comfortable seats, life vests, an anchor, a small battery, and a minnow keeper all on a trailer for $400 bucks. I got extremely lucky. But I saw tons of other decent deals that I don't see now because it's summer.

actually guys, i am hopefully going to get back my dads old boat he sold to his friend 15 years ago. just a 13ft v hull with front deck. not too sure the deck is in too good of shape anymore. project time.

but this is pretty cool that i am getting the boat i grew up on as my own ya know? getting it for 100 bucks since the guy never uses it. i would need to get a trailer for it and motors, etc etc. but the sentimental value is there and worth the effort IMHO.

anyone got more pics of thus type of fish caught? curious

folks who eat them call them strawberry daquiries. i used to catch 50-70 of them and give them to the ladies who work in my schools cafeteria. they are prety good, but i will stick with the saltwater variety when it comes to eating fish.
