Now I know Indiana isn't known for bass fishing, but does anyone know of any clubs?

USA Bassin has tons of tournaments in Indiana. Check out their website and go to the divisions... they list out what lakes, dates, and times.

Indiana isnt known nationally for bass fishing only because we don't have any lakes suitable for large level tournaments. There are TONS of challenging and very good fisheries all across the state though. Just nothing as big as the giant southern resevoirs.

Are you looking to stay up north? I'm in a club in the indy and we are looking for members. You can get on the Indiana Bass Federation website and locate clubs of contact the zone director of your area.

I am the VP of Northwest Indiana Bass Club. We are getting ready to wrap this season up but we have an Open Tournament on Shafer October 13th.

We fish 10 regular season tournaments, 7 of them are single days on saturdays and 3 two day tournaments. We fish indiana and Michigan Lakes.

If you want more information, check us out at www.facebook.com/northwestindianabassclub

Thanks for the reply back Steve, I plan on fishing that tournament I have some questions though. What time do I need to be there to register for the tournament, what time does it start, and the size limit on the bass on Lake Shafer ?

Registration begins at 6:30am, manditory meeting at 7:30am take off at 8am and weigh in at 4pm. You can fish single or team. It is a 5 fish limit per boat.

Size limit is 14" on Shafer and the small mouth bite should be on fire by then.

Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions.

Regards,

Steve
