5/29 Tournament

Featured Replies

Sunday my friend and I fished a local tournament, it was about 90 degrees and sunny and we had 12 boats show up. 2 weeks before this we had finished 2nd in the same tournament, so we had some confidence. The tournament started at 7 and went until 3. We had 3 keepers by 830 and we were feeling pretty good, but the bite went cold for the next 4-5 hours. It was 1 pm and we still only had 3 keepers and we were starting to get a little worried, right around 130 I caught a 2 and a half pitching a finesse worm around grass, and thats what got us started, in the next hour we caught 4 more keepers and culled twice, and we knew we would have a good chace to win. So when we got back to the weigh in only one other team had a limit, their limit went 7 lbs 1 oz so then it was our turn and our limit weighed 10 lbs 12 ozs, there were a few other boats that had fish but none of them topped the 4 lb mark, so we came away with the win !
