Anybody know a good fish tagging system that is relatively cheap to purchase?

We have two small ponds at the front of our sub. They are LOADED with bass ranging from 12-19in. My son and I would like to buy a tagging system and begin tagging some of the fish and then keeping a fish log. We would log the date, time, conditions and lures when caught as well as length and weight. Throughout the years we could monitor these fish and track patterns etc.

I just thoguth it would be a great profect for my son and I to take on together

This is perfect information. This is something that I always wanted to try to get a better understanding of the lakes and ponds I fish as well as the ecosystem I am fishing.

in PA they are having a tournament thing where if you catch certian tagged fish you could win a million bucks or something, my kinda tourney.

Cabelas is doing that.. Fish in lakes all over the continental US

Make sure you contact DCNR to see if that is legal in your area. Where I live, it is not.
