First bass on a frog :)

Featured Replies

I just got a spro popper last week and got great result with it yesterday. I was afraid to loose fish so I went and put a hook on top of the frog's body. The fish I got was hooked on the main hook for some reason, I am glad though. All in all I love the frog, cast great, good hook up, and will be one of the new tool for fishing ;)

Thanks all ;) The fish was 16 inches, but it was heart-stopping when he attacked the frog!!

Nice catch! Although I do not believe you need that extra hook with these frogs, the hookup ratio is pretty good, but that's a pretty cool idea you got there. How did you rig that up?

Nice! I am still 0-3 on my frog outings. Whenever bass strike, it scares the hell out of me, then I jerk the bait away. Gotta work on that.

I dont know if it will work or not!! I used a short leader with 20lbs test line, tied to the front of the frog and the other to the eye of the hook (3/0 gamakatsu finesse wide gap). I hooked it into the top-middle of the frog, with the point of the hook coming out the top-back. I will post pic later if I catch a fish on it.

make sure you fill/glue any holes or gaps that stinger hook made,or you might take a chance of getting water in the frog which in turn will throw the action all off and it will sink on you, that inturn will pi55 you off  ;)

Nice fish, I bought 2 and I'm waiting for the chance to use them.

It looks to me like if you catch a fish on the hook you added, its going to tear right through the top of the frog, ruining it.

great fish!!!!

.... the topwater bite is by far my favorite....... you gotta love the excitement of it ;D ;D ;D

I want to say that nothing is like a top water strike, because you can see how violent it is ;) I love it. Jitterbug, pop-r and now the spro frog, and the bass are hitting right now too :)

Congrats! ive made 7 attempts (keeping count sad =( ) at using a from and all have failed! =/ had one catch...it was a turtle as always =/...Keep with it =)
