Awesome indeed. Plus he's still got a chance to win the Wheeler tournament tomorrow, sittin in 3rd place at around 3 lbs back of the leader right now. It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him throw a huge bag on the scales tomorrow and win the tournament as well.

He had 6 fish, turned himself in and his entire day 3 catch was disqualified. Had he found it before he weighed in they would have culled his biggest bass to get down to 5. Now his shot at the 2012 Classic is done

Did he finally win it the "right way" this year? I got so sick of everyone saying Skeet should of won it last year. They changed the rules, and he won it again anyway.

1. Where are you getting your info from. Did KVD call you and tell you this?

2. Do you honestly think that the Elite anglers aren't going to do everything legally possible to get ahead of the field? Im sure all of em get local info somehow or another.

3. KVD is not arguably the best, but IS the best Bass fisherman ever. What he has done and continues to do is just unreal. Super human. 7 AOY titles along with the 4 Classic Titles. The guides are probably hiring KVD to teach them a little something.

Bass_Fanatic: I think what Deep JIg was commenting on was the well known fact that KVD has a team of Toyota and Strike KIng Pro Staff that practice on the lakes before the tournament and give him tons of valuable information. Not all of the anglers get help. I know for a fact that Aaron Martens does EVERYTHING by himself. No guides, no friends, no nothing.

With that said, there is still no way to deny KVD as best angler ever. The dude is just a monster and has proven himself over and over. In a lot of cases, it doesn't matter how much help you got before the tournament because the fish change and you have to make an adjustment. KVD makes those adjustments and wins. Period.

Well known to who??? I have never heard of this nor read about it. Do Shaw Grigsby, Denny Brauer,Mike Iaconelli, Gerald Swindle, & other strike king/quantum/toyota pros benefit from this as well?

Yeah, maybe Im out of the loop, but Ive never heard of that either. Either way, KVD has to perform when the tourny begins and he always does.

Look at the Classic. Martins, Remitz, and VanDam were all back there fishing together, but KVD figured em out quicker, thus leading to a win. He is just 10 notches above the field.

A professional, in anything, who does not make use of all the tools avaiable to him is foolish.

I'm sorry but I have read every Bassmaster magazine online, Watched every classic, every elite series event. Check every tourney news website twice a day for years and have never heard KVD gets info from Toyota guides. First of all this would be a violation of the 30 day no info rule which states it is illegally to get any information other than publicly accessible info like public websites from any source 30 days before the tournament. So if some one was fishing for him and giving him info it would be month old news. So it wouldn't make a bit of difference.
