Tru Turn hooks

I've heard of them, just never used any of these hooks. But, I generally like the idea as they are closer to a straight shanked hook in terms of having the open point . . .  more so than an offset or an EWG.

If the supposed "cam" action works and the hook twists on a hook set, I suppose it makes sense that it might find "tissue" to snag up in while it is being pulled toward the fish's mouth opening. Or even in presentations where the fish sets the hook on itself.

I have reverted to straight shank worm hooks and just find my hook up ratio is so greatly improved over EWGs of any sort. I'm like others here and would only use an EWG, now, for really fat plastics where I do think they make more sense.
