Working The B.a.s.s Northern Open Day 1

Featured Replies

Today I had the pleasure of working the Day 1 weigh-in of the Northern Open at Osborne Landing. It was surprisingly hard work running all the bass from the stage to the Catch and Release boats. Did have the pleasure of meeting a few really cool guys including Ike, and Boyd Duckett to name a few. Thanks Sam for getting me the gig. :Dsadff.jpgBASS.jpg

That's unfair, it was post to be me!! lol

Nice! I may try to make it tomorrow

Looks like our local guys held thier own today!

very cool gig. pro anglers are mostly pretty laid back for pics and stuff when they are not competing.

What was interesting was to hear the stories from the pros and other guys as to what happened on the Historic James and Chickahominy River during the tournament.

Seems what happens to us also happens to them. Breakoffs, missed hooksets, can't find them; finding them in the last hour of the day; being late to weigh-in; dead fish; and other things that we encounter when we go fishing.

Today should produce bigger bags as the weather has calmed down.

You guys really need to attend these types of events, including the Bassmaster Classic and the FLW Championships. It is a lot of fun and you can meet and greet the pros who are avery nice guys. ;)

Hookingem did you work day 2?

did you at least make out there?
