    I'm moving away from Shimano towards Daiwa. They just feel better to me.

    I do have to say though a Shimano is a set-it-and-forget-about-it reel. You NEVER have to adjust your brakes or spool tension unless you're gonna pitch or something along those lines.

    Don't get me wrong, Shimano makes a hell of a reel, but Daiwa's feel smoother to me. Plus, it's like a truck, you can totally pimp them out to be badarse.

    Sure do love my 50 though. ;)
