What are the best batteries for trolling motors? I have two in my boat and feel that they arent holding their charge long enough.

There are lots of good batteries out there. Brands don't make much difference because lots of them are made in the same plant and just carry a different label. For trolling motors you need to get deep cycle batteries with the highest reserve capacity (reserve amps) that you can find. I like 200 reserve amps on flooded cell batteries.

The best is debateable, each is going to have there own opinion, but there are several very good batteries. I like Trojan, and Deka batteries. Interstates, Diehards and a couple of others get good reviews also.

Wally Worlds are as good of an enexpensive battery. Start getting into a lot of those off name imports and you don't know what you're getting.

Wally World batteries do good for many because they don't know how to care for them and it's a waste of money to buy a top quality battery that going to get ruined half way through it's life cycle.
