New To Mid Tn Fishing

Featured Replies

Just a quick introduction, My name is Glenn and reside in Jackson. I have recently got back to fishing after a very long hiatus (about 12 years). Of course like a madman, I have been fishing (mostly evenings) for the past week. I have been going to Lake Graham since it's close by. Fishing from the shore I have been able to catch a few smallish Largemouth Bass and Bluegill.

I am a yankee by birth, southern by choice! I am used to fishing the great lakes and rivers in Western NY where I grew up. Mostly trout and salmon fishing. I have had great success there. Of course bass fishing isn't as popular but in the rivers there are great fish to be caught, along with Walleye. Fishing these rivers and lakes for around 20 years I got to know where the hot spots were.

I have never fished clear water lakes before. Actually fishing has changed a lot to me. I mostly shore fish due to the lack of not having a boat and having small kids they are usually tagging along. I am looking for some serious insight in to shore fishing and even a little boat when i can escape and rent one. I have not tried any rivers here yet either. I am a spin cast fisherman as that is what I prefer. I look forward to some great information here and who knows maybe I will even make a fichin' buddy!

Regards,

Glenn
