Swimbait Squeaking?

Featured Replies

So I bought some new hard swimbaits, and 1 of them squeaks when I move it. Not in water , I have not put it in water yet. It is the sound of metal on metal grinding together. It is very subtle not loud at all, but I know it's doing it. Will this cause a bass not to strike, or will the water give enough lube to make it stop?

What kind of swimbait is it? I had a wake bait that did this a while back. Turned out to be one of the joints was slightly kinked. A pair of need nose pliers fixed it right up.

if it doesn't hinder the action i wouldn't worry about it. the extra little squeaking might help attract bass...
