Hello From Pikeville,ky

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am from Pikeville,Ky. I am 42 years old and have been wadeing the creeks catching bass since I was old enough to cast a line. Bass and red eyes were very plentifull around here then and a young man could have a ball fishing. Now its a hard days work to catch a bass in the creeks, but can still be done, just not as easily. With work and family I had cut down on my fishing to only a couple times a year, up until last year. I bought a family owned venture boat. I mentioned family owned because it is a 1977, but has been well taken care of. Now I have fished on lakes most of my life, but the joy of owning and operating your own boat is just great. Don't have to wait on an invitation now just go when I want, and that is alot now.

I found your site a few weeks ago and have been doing alot of reading. Hopefully in the future I will be able to contribute some myself. Well thats about it, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I will, it will be fun to talk to and get some advice from you. The two lures I have the worst results with are the spinner baits and the football jigs, love to get some advice on the proper way to fish those two. I love worm fishing and crankbaits, but do not have control of the jigs and spinners just yet.
