My "homemade" baits.

Featured Replies

FINALLY I can post pictures. these baits are not poured by me, I just take different baits cut them and reattach them the way I want them to look. Like a lizard with a zoom trick worm and the sabre tail from a grande bass mutant. About 12" total. You can laugh if you want, but they DO catch. It's been proven. Open for critisizm and laughs.

sorry about the GIANT crappy pictures. My wife gets the good camera, I had to use my tacklebox camera.

Do you use a single hook, or rig them with two or more?

If a single, how often do they get torn apart from strikes below the hook?

On the big lizard one, I use a 5/0 gamakatsu. And honestly they only last for about 3 fish. I have not had one get ripped apart though. the other 3 are not that big, they are between 5"-7". It is just something I do out of boredom.

NICE! I really like the looks of the bait in the first pic. Bet me an you could get together and have a field day 8-)

how are you going about to reattach them? This looks like it would be fun  :)

I personally use a bic lighter, My first ones came out sloppy. After you learn to melt evenly and smoothly they look almost stock from a company. Other people use mend it and im sure it works.
