Water Temperature

Featured Replies

I fish an 8 acre pond for largemouth bass. At the deepest part it's about 12 feet deep and is about 30 years old.

What would be the optimum water temperature for catching bass? Thanks! :)

There is no optimum water temp. Bass are most active between 53 and 80 degrees.

Above 50 and below 75 seems to be about the best range around here but I've caught them through the ice and out of a powerplant lake during the summer with water temps in the mid 90's. They have to eat no matter what the water temp is ;) .
