Has anyone ever tried color lines such as P-Line's fluorescent green CX or Red Cajun line? Did you see any noticeable difference? I am considering spooling some up on one or two of my reels for my tournament next week on the Potomac river....... Where the water is pretty dirty, so I guess thats better than clear water.

Also, Has anyone ever tried Straight shank hooks with Wacky rigging senkos? Are Extra wide gap hooks or offset worm hooks better? Has anyone tried trokar hooks for senkos?

Also, has anyone ever tried power fishing with a senko? What I mean is going through and pitching/flipping a senko to wood and grass very quickly, letting it sink and hit bottom and then reeling it in fast.... I would think it would help me cover more water come tournament

ive always used low-vis green line or clear line for my senkos. either way i catch fish. i did notice that my dad used cajun line on his senko rod and i caught more fish than him and we used the same color senko and area fishing and we fish in very murky water.

Ive done the power fishing before since most of your strikes usually do come from the initial fall.As for hooks I use a gamakatsu finesse wide gap hook in 1/0 or 2/0.

I use Yellow Samurai and Gold Stren Superbraid. The fish don't care even in clear water. They are not scared of that fat worm, why would they be scared of fishing line?

I use a stronger hook than a worm hook, straight or offset type. I use an Octopus Hook 4/0 with an added weed guard.

If the water is murky, the fish don't mind too much what your line looks like. When the water is clear is when it makes a difference. I use mono in dirty water, and flouro in clear water. Though I always have a flouro leader tied onto my braid.

I only use lo vis green line, wether flouro or mono or braid.

I don't use an offset wide gap for wacky rigging, only a 1/0 octopus hook and rigging a senko Texas rigged with a weight or not and pitching to wood or grass is an excellent way to fish.

I use braid for Senkos, sometimes with a fluro leader and sometimes without. Not having the leader doesn't seem to make any difference.
