All my hunting buddies swear by it & that’s good enough for me ;)

It's one of the best things I have ever used for hunting. I don't go in the woods without it. Just don't use it in an enclosed, unvented tent. :o

I have had one for a few years and absolutely love it. However, they are not without faults.

- If you are using them in steady winds they lose their effectiveness quickly (however, steady winds usually decreases bugs anyhow)

- I also use them for bowhunting and have wondered if the scent alerts deer to my position

If you are looking for something to use while sitting on a deck, boat, bank, or tree in minimal winds they are FANTASTIC!

Also, they have them at BPS with a $5 mail in rebate essentially making them around $14

There was a discussion about this several months ago - what I took from that is that it works great if you are sitting still, but if you are trolling down the lake you run out of the "fogged" ares. You might run a search to see more of that discussion.

I tried one for fishing and found it worthless. Even the slightest breeze will do it in. May be OK in the woods, but not out in the open.

Don't even think about one of these things for a far north fishing trip. The skeeters, black flies and no-see-ums will eat you alive without 100% DEET.
