Flukes And Swivels????

Featured Replies

Do you use a swivel when fishing flukes weightless t-rigged to avoid line twist or is there a better way?

i prefer swivels when throwing flukes weightless especially if using spinning gear.

I always add a small, #8 Spro PowerSwivel about 1' up from the fluke. Can't hurt.

I always use a swivel and I make sure I have the hook centered, the bait is a little less likely to twist.

Always. I use a large swivel at least 18" above the hook to give the line a little weight and lower the fluke or trick worm in the water a few more inches. It also lets me work it a little faster.

I'm gonna be the odd one and say no I never have I always just clip it on and fish. I usually have a a duo lock snap tied on and I just fish the fluke with that no swivel sure it barrel rolls from time to time but my line doesn't twist bad and I slaughter fish on it. Maybe its because I use BC gear idk but I don't get line twist and I catch tons on it.

Also for Trick Worms and Drop Shots.

Weightless baits tend to twist and if you are using a spinning rig line twist can be a nightmare. :)

Where do you put your swivel on your drop-shot rig?
