Eagle Claw Weights

Featured Replies

They say they are eco friendly so they are not made of lead but they arent tungsten are they? I picked up three packs of 1/2 oz weights last night from dicks for $.48 each.

I think they are steel weights. Definitely not tungsten, they are way too big to be tungsten.

Yeah I figured. Is steel more sensitive than lead though?

There steel and I find them to be the least sensative thing iv thrown plus they rust I have a orange rust stain on my purty white veritas. Well u were at dicks you shoulda looked at the tru tungsten lineup there on sale here for 3.97 plus an additional 50% off that price because they ended with a .97 I stocked up on 3/8 1/8 1/4 weights last night at 1.96 a pack noot to mention the citica I nabbed for 44.96

In that case im about to take it off my veritas since it is my favorite rod. Im also jealous about the citica they didnt have any right handed models yesterday. oh well I guess I will keep looking.

Yeah it left a orange haze on mine its almost gone it also stained my line as well I used it once and hated it cut it and put lead on there but now iv switched to tungsten sense iv found it on sale

The other downside is that the rust leaves a rough surface that can scrap up your line and weaken it.

@clayton86-you might try a magic eraser to get that rust spot off. I've been using them to clean the cork on my rods and it makes them look like new.

I'm looking at a pack of Eagle Claw "Lazer" tungsten worm weights. I don't know if that's the same weight you're asking about though.
