Float Tubes?

Featured Replies

anyone fish from a float tube? im considering one to get me off the bank but still be able to fit in my apartment. i have a couple questions though..

i read a lot about people wearing waders are they really necessary? im in miami and would rather wear shorts.

how long would it take to inflate an open front tube with a hand pump?

any suggestions or recommendations? i was looking at these two from BPS...

thanks!

I have the white river model. Works great and it pumps up fast using the hand pump (I think I bought it from BPS). It only takes about 20 pumps and it's ready to go. I like this for smaller streams. For $80, it's a good deal I think. I guess it depends on your location?

Yes.

Waders are no more necessary on a float tube than they would be wading the same water. You will need a good pair of diving flippers if you are floating still waters AND A LIFE VEST.

Have a short handled net and don't attempt many hand landings as sharp dorsal spines and hooks can puncture a float tube.

WEAR THE LIFE VEST!

enjoy

I've looked at a few and really love the idea, but many (most) of the public fishing areas in the Atlanta area are too polluted to swim in. :(

I am wondering if you are trying to become lunch for a gator.
