Lower Niagara River

Featured Replies

I was just wondering if anyone has fished the lower niagara for smallies? I've been out the past few weeks and have been doing pretty decent with x-raps drifting along the shoreline, but in the last week the x-rap bite has seemed to slow down quite a bit. They seem to be sitting at the 15-25ft mark on the drop-off/shelf, I've tried some deeper diving cranks with little luck. I was thinking of throwing some tubes, senko baits? any thoughts and/or suggestions?

Thx, John

Try the tubes or dropshottin' some 4" worms or Tiny Flukes......maybe even Cross Tail Shads......Great Lakes smallies can't resist those.
