The strip pits are always a good option. They're pretty hit or miss and take some time and trial and error before you find which pits have the big fish in them. Get a Mined Wildlife area map to help you find them. Generally, the ones close to Pittsburg don't have many big fish in them but lots of fish. Bone creek is a good lake with lots a quality fish and some bigger ones mixed in. Lake Ft.Scott gives you the same chances as Bone but more bonus species like whites and spotted bass. Elm Creek and Bourban State Lake both have bigger fish also.
