Have any of you tried these?  I got some in green pumpkin a minute ago to take tomorrow to the river at Walmart.  They were in the $1.00 box, are around 4", and look pretty good.  Am I just a sucker, or are these any good?

Not going to say they are junk or something like that, compared to RI Beavers: harder material which causes the bait not to be as flexible where I want them to be flexible ( the flaps ), the body is harder ( won 't break as fast ), the sink rate is completly different ( Yums are a lot slower ), when rigged backwards they don 't have that sink away from you as pronounced as the RI Beaver.

I 've tried them and I didn 't quite liked them, I 'd rather buy RI Beavers.

I picked up a pack yesterday cause Dick's doesn't carry the RI's anymore.  I tried them tonight in the neighborhood pond.  They worked great flippin them weightless on the weed line.  Let me first say that I had never caught anything over two pounds in this pond before.  Tonight however, first cast 3#, then a 4#, 3 2.5#, and 3 or 4 dinks.  Needless to say I was pleased with my purchase.  They are really durable too, all those fish on one bait.

Beavers are quite tasty to a variety of species.

I agree... I bought Yum Beavers, Gander Mt Brand Beavers, and BPS Beavers... They don't measure up to the original at all.  The plastic is too springy, and too light.

The Berkley Beast is a pretty good beaver style bait, but maybe because of the scent I keep catching catfish and snapping turtles on them (which is odd b/c I don't catch either when I fish a regular Berkley power worm...)

The best beaver knock off that I've found is the Lake Fork version, called The Flipper.  They are just as soft, salty, and heavy as Reaction Innovation Sweet Beavers...
