New to the Christiansburg Va area and I am looking for room in a boat and any pointers about fish habits in the area. Been out a couple of times to the New without much avail (rain and higher waters have complicated bank fishing) could also be the poor mans tackle I am carrying. Hopefully I can find a partner to fish with before the weather gets to much colder. Glad I found the forum and great fishing to all of you.

From the map I just looked at not too far from Claytor lake.

I remember at one time for this masonry company I was working for was thinking about sending us their to go build the new Courthouse.

Yep I am about 20 minutes from claytor lake. In southwest Virginia.
