"Fool a Fish" uv ray spray.

Featured Replies

I use unibutter for saltwater bass and it works well. However I have also made my own scents that seem to work well to. I will mix up a bunch of scents includding unibutter in a small tupawhere and double stick tape it to my boat. This way I just dip my bait every few casts. I wont say its as good as just the butter but its convenient. Unibutter is good because it stays on for a while and it makes my saltwater swimbaits slippery. I beleive any scent that makes the fish hold the bait for an extra second or to is worth its price. I regularly fish from 40-70ft deep and I am drifting so I have a ton of line out. That extra second and a slippery bait makes a noticable differance at the end of the day. So my Verdict is that Unibutter is good stuff but I havent used it on freashwater bass. I think I will get some of that UV spay and test that against the salty bass.

I know I'm bringing up an old topic but I'd like to add to it.

This weekend a couple of friends and myself were down in the Keys fishing. One of our runs was a full moon Snapper run. The day before I informed them that I had the "secret weapon" for fishing at night and low light depths, UV-Blast. Of course, I heard it after that.

We were fishing in about 70-65 feet of water and the moon was shining bright. A few hours later I had my cooler almost filled with a variety of Snapper species. My friends, on the other hand, only landed a few each. We were fishing the same set ups, yellow hair jig with a Silverside trailer. The only difference was that mine was coated with UV-Blast. Sure enough, after I reminded them of this fact they begged for a shot of it. Just like clockwork, they started hooking up after applying the spray. Their mockery of the product soon morphed into jovial approval.

You can be sceptical and say it was just luck that I outfished both of them combined or you can take note that the UV-Blast actually works.

Maybe it was supposed to be called "Fool a Fisherman" spray......

You beat me to it.

You beat me to it.

I'm a sceptic in a lot of cases too.

I was with this as well until I decided to actually try it.
