Smallie sweet beaver on slider head???

Featured Replies

I am a HUGE fan of reaction innovations sweet beaver.  I was wondering if anybody has ever used the smallie on a slider head.  I have to assume it would work well but haven't tried it yet myself.  Anybody tried?

I use them on a 1/8 oz spot remover pro model head.  It stands up nice.  I tried te regular spot remover but that spike doesn't hold the beaver the way the spring does on the pro.

I am planning on trying this for when the bite is a little tougher.  Sometimes I can find fish on tough days when I down size my baits so I figured since I like the original sweet beaver so much it is worth a try.

Yes, that is all I have used them on. I am using a 1/16 slider on the 3.5 beaver, and a 1/8 on the 4.2 beaver. So far it has been very effective, make sure not to set your hook to early. I like to watch my line when using the beavers on a slider head just because I had trouble with hook sets when I first started using this technique. Also, I know that the Reaction Innovations baits are a little bit pricey so I have been using the Bass Pro brand and have had great results, however, there are not as many color choices with the BPS brand.
