Does anyone know of any useful apps. I have used an android app called Tackle Box and am very satisfied.

The feeding times on this one are right on even in the Atlantic.

However, I am dissatisfied with the lure recommendations.

Let me know if you know of any others.

There is no real accurate source for lure selection. That is a decision only you should make based upon trial and error. I only use it for feeding times and moon phases.

Want to know the moon phase?....................Just look at it. I start my fishing at 3 or 4 in the morning, I don't care what the moon is doing I'm going fishing anyway, but if I had a choice it would be a new moon.

Experience is your best teacher, and experience has taught me feeding time is more important than lure selection, when they're on they're on ! and when off they get real uninterested.

This morning the fish started to feed about 5:30 and stopped about 7:30, I caught them on bucktails, spoon, xrap and using a top lure in 20 mph winds and 4' waves. I change baits not to catch more fish but to vary my routine. Many times I go out and catch nothing, that's fishing.

My Fishing Advisor - free app through android. It is unbelievable, most of it is common sense but is usually nails it. Once you get it configured, you can choose quick picks and it will tell you best lures and best times to fish.

Take a look at "Knot Wars". Excellent app for knots including videos..........Al
