Good Shallow Crankbaits

Featured Replies

Looking for suggestions for productive shallow cranks for this time of the year. Things are starting to cool off and I love me some crankbait fishing! (maybe I am missing some cranks) I have read through the Squarebill thread, most suggestions there I already employ.

Thanks,

Wdy

I'm very pleased with Heddon Swim-n Images, which reach a depth of 18" per the manufacturer.

I use the Lucky Crafty flat mini sr. They dive about 2ft.

I like a Bandit 200, I know it dives to like 8 feet, but I throw it right to the bank and bang it off the bottom and whatever else is in the way with great results.

Bandit 100/200 series are hard to beat. I still like the Luhr Jensen Speed Trap in 1/8 and 1/4 OZ. These are my go to baits in the fall for 5 feet or less.
