just wanted some feedback from those of you who have participated in the current ABU-garcia promotion for a "free" hooded sweatshirt. how thick is the fabric? how's the quality? is it worth the $12 for shipping and handling? i got one of their long-sleeve tees and the fabric is itchy and the collar very tight although the rest of the shirt was oversized and have never been able to wear it. i once sent $9.95 to pflueger for a "free" long-sleeve shirt and it must have had 38-inch sleeves on it that would fit an ape.

I took advantage of the offer and got one. The fabric is thick, warm and comfortable. The Abu Garcia logo is stitched on, not an iron on that comes off in the wash. I wound up giving it to my son and he is 6'1 and 190 lbs and it is a XXL and fits him well, not tight and not overly huge. He loves it and wears it anytime it is cold outside now. It is definitely worth the $12 for shipping and handling. I think they offer black or white now, we got the black one. I would compare it to a Russell Athletic sweatshirt in terms of fit, feel and quality.

They run small. I'm 6'0 250lbs and the XXL is small on me. I have a TW XXL hoodie that fits perfect.

Yep, that should qualify. It should have came with a receipt or packing list, you should be able to use that as a receipt for the mail in.

Any local retailer that carries even just one of those rods will have that rebate form. If you happen to drive by, you can pick one up. Otherwise, check out their website or give them a call. I know when I did the rebate for the Wiley X's with purchase of a Revo SX, they were more than happy to help me personally and get my glasses to me.

Always a crapshhot buying clothing sight unseen on line. I have that same Plueger t shirt and the arms are really long, but I got a Penn long sleeve t, that fits perfect.

just wanted to provide a follow-up on this since i received my sweatshirt yesterday. verdict: it is quite nice! it is just as fontana finesse man described: fairly thick, warm and very comfortable with embroidered logos, not iron-ons. the embroidered "abu garcia" logo on the back is large and white part looks almost reflective.

i'm 5'8" and 190 lbs. and got the XL...it's big on me now but i think after a few washings, it'll be just about right. the hole for my head to fit through is tight and i'd estimate the sleeves would fit 35-36" arms (i have 33" arms).

I got my 2 a few days ago. I got a L & XL The XL fits me great.

no thanks...in fact, last night i sent off my redemption form for a second XL sweatshirt. i was waiting for my first one to arrive so i could see how it was sized and the XL is nice and roomy plus i think it will shrink some.
