What Would You Do?

Featured Replies

Ok if you guys where fishing starting at sunrise is these conditions 60 degree water temp pretty much clear water what kinds of bait type and color would you choose to throw throughout the day? I'm going to be fishing points structure and under a bridge in depths of 2 to 14 feet

I have those same water temps right now and have been doing well on a crank and jig around rocky points.

Man you can fish almost any bait in 60 degree water and have success. I'd start with some faster search baits like a crankbait or spinnerbait and if you can't find anything doing that slow down with a jig or shakeyhead.

Besides rejoice? The water temps won't be that warm again around here until April.

You might slow down your presentation/retrieve speed a bit but otherwise, fish will be fairly active in 60 degree water. Look for shallow bays and stained water where the water might be a little warmer but, again, 60 degree water isn't so bad. Now if it plummetted 10 degrees because of a major cold front, that's a different issue.
