well not really a combo mainly the reel. i have 2 7ft m/h kistler helium lta and was looking to pair them with either a STX or a LEw TP. has anyone compared these reels together?

I haven't fished either reel, but after handling both and reading the reviews, I'm definitely going to purchase a Lews this week. I have two Heliums on the way and I'm going to pair one with a Curado 200 and the other with the Lews tourney pro. I'm really looking forward to the light weight pairing of the Lews/Helium. That being said, for $100 the 50E sounds awfully tempting and I'm sure you can't go wrong that route. Good luck either way and let us know what you get!

I sold my two STX's to a buddy and replaced them with Lews. I have two standard Tourny models

and two Pros. They have performed extremely well.

I have a 7'mh Kistler with a TP on it & it's great.

That said you can't beat the "50 for 100" ! <<< HaHa

I also have a SX that's not near the reel of the 50 or TP.

Has anyone figured out if Academy is offering the 50e online for Black Friday, or is it only in-store?
