Everstart On Ketucky Lake

Featured Replies

Im watching the coverage of the Kentucky Lake Everstart...How can they legally be fishing the A-Rig on the Tennessee side of the lake?? Are there different regs for that lake?

Good question. The last tournament I fished on Kentucky (which was this year) the regulation states that you must abide by the laws of the state you're fishing in. It doesn't state that you have to abide by the laws of the state in which you hold a valid permit, but you can fish the entire lake with either state's permit. That's my understanding of it.

In Tennessee I believe the rule is 3 hooks, which can include treble hooks. :xmas-115:

That is exactly why I was wondering how they can throw the 5 lure A-rig on the TN side of the lake. The umbrella rig rule in TN is that you can only use up to three lures (hooks).

I remember when this tournament was going on they said if you was fishing on the Tennessee side you can only have three hooks river on the A-rig but on the Kentucky side you can have all five. And if you watch some of them have only three rigged up well most have the five, but they never talk about it on the coverage of it.I think I remember them saying once about so and so only having three rigged up in Tennessee waters but don't think they ever said way.
