TecH2O Rain gear

Featured Replies

Curious if anyone has used this rain gear? It seems it has the same construction as most Gore Tex brands, the gortex suit I have from the military is made of the exact same things except the gortex has "Gortex membrane" and the TecH2O has "TecH2O membrane". Birthday is next Monday and the family is asking for a list of things I want. :)

Hi Koopa,

I have had this rain gear for four years and finally got sick of getting wet during a soaking rain. Here are the problems with it:

·      Velcro tabs have come unstitched

·      Neoprene inner cuffs in both sleeves are tattered/unstitched

·      The jacket seams leak along the shoulders and arms

This rain gear was not the cheapest and it wasn't worth it in my very humble opinion. I just purchased some Cabelas rain gear (Gore-tex) at quite a discountcheck this link out:

Not trying to bash Gander's gear, just giving you my experiences with their rainwear.

Hope this helps.

Jason

I've had the same pair of frogg toggs for 3 years now.  They still keep me dry during some holacious Florida downpours.

I have had the TechH2O from Gander Mountain for 7 or 8 years now and have no problems with it at all.  Maybe they changed it, but mine keeps me dry running full bore down the Mississippi in a downpour.  Believe it or not it rains hard here in Illinois and Iowa too.
