spinnerbaits runnin nearly sideways

Featured Replies

i've got a double willow leaf spinnerbait, the strike king burner model, and it rarely runs straight. It normally runs kind of diagonally, and the blades are never directly over the skirt. ANyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it?

You using a trailer?  Make sure it is on straight first, then once that is set you can bend the arm the opposite direction, do it in increments until you got her running straight.

the burners are very durable, but what happens when you catch a fish or get it snagged up is it's easily bent.  Make sure that the arms are straight, and like said, if it's running to one side bend the arm a bit to get it to go straight again.

I'll bet the arms are bent out of shape. Make sure they are straight. Mine came bent out of the package.

Eyeball it closely from back to front and vise versa and make sure that the whole arm is diectly in line with the hook.

If the "L" part where you tie your line is bent out then use your hand to squeeze it back together so that the blades run closer to the body.

If you using a plastic trailer make sure it straight and not kinked.Make sure your skirt isn't bunched up on one side.

Learn how to tune it because after that first fish you will need to tune it again.

I had a strike king buzzbait do that right out of the package and it took me like thirty minuets to get it turned to where it would run up straight.  :)

I have the same problem with mine

I've had straight out of the package tuning issues with Strike King baits and that's why I don't buy them any more. Maybe it is their packaging or how they are handled from factory to store. I know I have many fewer tuning issues with Terminator or War Eagle spinner baits.
