I don't know if this is off topic or anything, but how does one get into tournaments? I've been wanting to try this out for a while now, but I have no idea where to begin... For instance, what is required for these tournaments; do you have to have a boat? Car? Are they expensive? ahhhh there's a lot to learn....

Find a local club, and fish as a co-angler or non boater. You probably want to look for a team format as well.

In your area try angler's choice, flw, american bass anglers, the bass federation and the suggestions JFrancho gave you as well. Trying to do the same thing myself as a co-angler with one of the local clubs as well as some of the other groups I mentioned.

A boat isn't required if you fish draw tournaments as a non boater, or if you fish buddy tournaments and you have a buddy who has a boat. A car?
