Got out on one of our local lakes Monday 12-26-2011 with a buddy and had a great day. It was cold early and foggy, but the fish were active. The truck temp showed 28 and warmed when the sun burned through the fog. We caught 15 large mouths on jigs and the biggest was 4.5. This surprised me with water temp reading 49 but we got bit fast and did not have to go to winter tactics. We fished from 8 till 12 and fish were from 4 to 20 foot on steep banks and wanted the jig slow.
